CONSTRUCTION CODE ADMINISTRATION
Michigan
Township Services administers
municipal construction code departments without cost to taxpayers. All
inspection and clerical costs are covered by permit fees.
This department includes
educated, experienced building officials and inspectors registered with
the State of Michigan in their respective areas of expertise. Permit
administration is handled courteously and professionally by our friendly,
full-time office staff.
PLAN REVIEW SERVICE
State
law requires a pre-construction review of the building plans and
specifications before a building permit may be issued. Our plan
reviewers are well versed in all codes (Building, Electrical,
Mechanical, and Plumbing), and handle all communications with the
architect or engineer, so any changes necessary to meet the requirements
of the code are completed in an efficient manner to minimize any time
delays in the construction process.
ZONING ADMINISTRATION
Michigan Township Services administers all aspects of the municipal zoning ordinance including residential building permit reviews for ordinance compliance, staff reports to the planning commission for site plan review of commercial projects, special uses, planned unit development, rezoning, and applications to the zoning board of appeals that may be required.
